Brazilian Butt Lift

There are certain parts of the body that seem to get more attention than others from the general public. While the legs and breasts always seem to get attention thanks to their appearances on red carpets, the buttocks are also a topic of interest thanks to their prominence on certain celebrities. While many people have a larger buttocks area thanks to genetics and exercise, there are others who need a little extra help when it comes to getting the buttocks they desire. For those who need a little extra help, one of the most popular procedures to gain a larger butt is a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).">Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).

A BBL is a butt augmentation procedure that utilizes the actual fat from a patient to augment the buttocks area. In fact, a BBL addresses many issues that pertain to the buttocks area such as flat and/or sagging buttocks, a smaller buttocks area that a patient wants to augment, buttocks that are asymmetrical and buttocks that have changed their appearance because of massive weight loss on the part of the patient.

There is not one certain reason that a person wishes to undergo a BBL. Having said that, there are some common reasons that are shared by patients as a reason they wish to have the lift. One common reason is a desire to improve the shape of the buttocks as well as the curve of the hip.

There is a standard way for surgeons to perform a Brazilian butt lift. The surgery starts with the surgeon harvesting fat from a part of the patient’s body that is not the butt. The fat is then purified and injected right back into the patient’s body. In order to make sure there is enough fat to perform the procedure and provide symmetry to the patient’s body, the fat is normally harvested from a couple of different areas of the body. Liposuction is used to remove the fat as well provide a nice contour around the buttocks. Once the fat is injected into the buttocks area (after it has been purified), the patient will see results that include a buttocks area that is lifted and fuller. The final results should also include a rounder buttocks area.

When it comes to the final results, they should be long lasting without any need for any sort of follow-up procedure as long as the surgery is performed correctly. This includes the fat being harvested, processed and injected back into the body correctly.

It’s important for patients to note that some bruising and pain can be expected for a couple of weeks following the procedure. The bruising will fade but the swelling can last for several months while the body is healing and making the necessary changes to achieve the final results. Some loss of sensation can be expected as well but this is nothing that the patient needs to worry about in the long term. Other complications that might occur as a result of the surgery include stretch marks, numbness and pain. While any (or all) of these complications might not happen to a patient, it is best for a patient to contact their doctor if they have any of these post-surgery complications.

The price of a BBL varies across the country. The overall final price depends on the part of the country in which the patient lives. The average price for a BBL is $6500 but patients need to check with a surgeon in their area for more details. Insurance might pay for some of the procedure costs if an actual medical need can be shown for the Brazilian butt lift.

No matter what type of surgical procedure a patient is undergoing, they should take the time to consult with a board certified physician. Patients need to do their research and find an experienced and trained doctor to perform the lift. An experienced doctor will take the patient’s medical history into account during their pre-surgery examination. The examination is done in order to determine if the patient is indeed a viable BBL candidate. Once it is determined that the patient is a good candidate for a BBL, the doctor and patient can make sure their expectations are the same in order to achieve the desired BBL results.
